General Election 2011 ?

There is a theory or rather a prediction that the next general election would be held as early as in the year 2011, a year earlier than it supposed to be. The new Prime Minister is seeking a new mandate from the people to show that he is capable of gaining the support and not appointed. Why is it so important for him to get the endorsement is to show to the whole wide world that the people all this while are rallied behind him.

Historically when a new premier took over the office and then held a fresh election, BN won and got a huge margin in the general election. Look at Dr Mahathir and his successor Pak Lah , who had led the BN coalition to a comfortable and historical success in the general election right after they hold the office. Will Najib repeat the history or another history will be created where for the first time a new Prime Minister will be elected from the Pakatan Rakyat coalition after the 13th general election?

BN will do all sort of strategies to ensure they win the general election with another record breaking result, but, for Pakatan Rakyat, the 13th general election will be the best ever opportunity to topple BN after the success of 2008 general election. Pakatan Rakyat coalition seems to be in the right direction and must ensure all their leaders stay focus enroute to Putrajaya.

The Pakatan Rakyat leaders need to put up extra efforts starting right now and always stay alert to the need of the people in order to win their hearts and ultimately their votes. For the past 2 years, the Pakatan Rakyat leaders were on the defensive from the BN attack on their leaders ended up with a few of their leaders jumped to the BN camp and the Perak State was toppled by BN. However, the incidents led to more people supported Pakatan Rakyat especially those who felt that BN actions were out of legislative order.

Other incidents involving the attack on the Pas spiritual leader TGNA credibility and also the infamous second sodomise accusation on Anwar Ibrahim also led to the rejection of BN by the people. Despite that, the BN own backyard problems especially the MCA, MIC and PPP leadership struggles proofed to be another factor for the people to turn to Pakatan Rakyat.

Therefore, Pakatan Rakyat leaders need to ensure the election workforces are at anytime on the alert and always ready for the general election. The 13th general election will be the best ever opportunity so far to overcome all the odds to topple BN once and for all.
